Course outline

The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) will provide you with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate exercise interventions for people with medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities. This degree is the professional qualification you need to obtain accreditation as an exercise physiologist. During your degree, studies will cover all aspects of clinical exercise physiology, including anatomy and physiology, psychology, strength and conditioning, exercise prescription, programming and delivery, alongside professional placements. Note

External students are required to attend mandatory residential schools at the Ipswich campus during most semesters.

Other requirements

In accordance with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) accreditation requirements, all students must complete a minimum of 140 hours of placement in exercise science, and 360 hours of clinical placement. A student’s place of residence will be taken into account when placement is allocated, however, all students need to be aware that they may need to travel. Some placements may be in rural or remote areas.
