Course outline

The Bachelor of Creative Industries is a future focused degree that prepares you for work in the Creative Economy, a large growing sector. It immerses you in real-world learning, industry challenges and connections across disciplines that enable you to employ your creative skills to solve global real world problems. The core of the program positions you in the industry by drawing on your study area interest, develops critical people skills for facilitation and creative collaboration, design thinking and methods for innovation and creative problem solving, project management, promotion and creative leadership. Creative technical literacy skills run through the core units, equipping you with fundamental understanding of industry relevant digital content creation tools and processes critical for creative industry promotion, online engagement and service delivery. Authentic, problem-based activities are coupled with Work Integrated Learning, skills in entrepreneurship and commercial links that engage in creative start-ups. A selection of key interdisciplinary majors complements the studio core and empowers you to build on the digital and technical skills you bring with you into the degree.
