Course outline

This dual program will equip students with in-depth knowledge and preparation for leadership in the information technology profession, combined with studies in the fields of health, exercise and nutrition. Through the human movement and nutrition sciences program, students explore human movement and nutrition across the lifespan and discover the roles that food, physical activity, exercise and sleep play in our health, the prevention of chronic disease, and sporting performance. They develop the knowledge and skills to address two of the most important modifiable risk factors for chronic disease – physical activity and nutrition. With an in-depth understanding of the social, behavioural and biological sciences influencing health outcomes, students graduate ready to shape the global health conversation and make a real impact on the health of communities. Through the information technology component, students benefit from a hands-on, project-focused program, based on international standards for computer science and information systems. Students are prepared for a career where they’ll be able to apply technical skills to solve problems, support innovation and improve communication between people.
